US program for Ukrainians "Uniting for Ukraine"

On April 21, 2022, the United States announced a key step towards fulfilling President Biden’s commitment to host Ukrainians fleeing a Russian invasion. The Unity for Ukraine program provides an opportunity for citizens of Ukraine and their immediate family members outside the United States to come to the United States and temporarily stay in the country during the two-year humanitarian password period. Ukrainians participating in the Unity for Ukraine program must have a US sponsor who agrees to provide them with financial support during their stay in the US.

The first step in the Uniting for Ukraine process is the submission to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) by a sponsor residing in the US, Form I-134, Declaration of Financial Support. The US government will then review the sponsor to make sure they can financially support the person they have agreed to support. More information about the Uniting for Ukraine program can be found on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) website or from a migration lawyer in Odesa.
